Richard Lock, Managing Director of Holiferm, will be presenting at the 'Future of Surfactants Summit'
Richard Lock, our Managing Director, is delighted to be presenting at the Future of Surfactants Summit in Barcelona on 9-10th February 2022.
Richard's presentation will focus on:
- The challenge the market to be economically and environmentally sustainable
- Breaking the myth of fermentation needing to be expensive
- Turing batch into continuous
- Giving consumers a real choice
Richard is an experienced director, having been in the industry for 19 years, originally starting his career in the laboratories and progressing by working in countries all over the world. In his previous role as Commercial Director of Libra Speciality Chemicals he help to grow a £28.5M chemical portfolio, including building and executing a business case for 36kta betaine plant and agreeing supply contracts for 1000s tonnes. Now at Holiferm he is spear-heading the build of an innovative bio-surfactant plant to prove that 'Green doesn’t have to cost the Earth' and bring these products to mass market for the first time. He is serious about changing the pre-conceived notions of the chemical industry and how molecules are produced. He fundamentally believes that the chemical industry needs to undergo a radical over-haul to become greener, more sustainable and more environmentally friendly.
