Holiferm exhibits at the Climate Innovation Forum

Holiferm was luckily to be invited to be part of the Clean Growth Fund Pavilion at this year’s Climate Innovation Forum, which took place on Tuesday 28th June as part of Climate Impact Week. There were many interesting discussions and round tables taking place around the topics of climate innovation and the Minister for Business, Energy and Clean Growth Greg Hands.

The Climate Innovation Forum was held at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre, across the road from the Houses of Parliament. It was highlighted as an ideal opportunity for industry leaders and movers to come together to discuss innovation within the climate arena coming equidistantly between COP26 and COP 27. The pervading feeling throughout the day was that although there had been great promise with the signing of an agreement to be net zero by 2050 the reality of the situation was not much progress had been made towards this. Therefore, many of the conversations, roundtables and panels held during the day were focused towards net zero and innovations that could be used to kick start the drive towards it.

As part of the Clean Growth Fund pavilion we were afforded the opportunity to meet Greg Hands, the Minister for Business, Energy and Clean Growth. We were able to explain our biosurfactants to him and how companies, such as ourselves, as pushing the chemical industry into a cleaner and greener space. The pavilion was filled with companies that the Clean Growth Fund have invested in including Above, CarbonRe, Sunswap, Indra, Tepeo and Indra.

It was a privilege for Holiferm to attend and exhibit at such a prestigious event. The conversations were thought-provoking and strategic, pushing us to think about our own drive towards net zero and how we can achieve this as soon as possible. We were able to expose our products and their uses to a much wider audience and potentially made some networking contacts which could prove useful in the near future.

Holiferm will be presenting at the European Bioeconomy on September 26th and at the Biosurfactants Conference from September 28-30th.
